This is definitely surprising, but ND can bounce back from this. ND needs help at OT after the last couple of cycles, but there are plenty of nice options: Bryn Tucker (TN), Andrew Gentry (CO), Jimmy Christ (VA), and Tosh Baker (OT) are just a few guys that ND is in really good shape with. He ended up lower on the board than the coaching staff originally anticipated. Junior film wasn’t great. Lotta upside but extremely raw. I think the 2020 class is loaded with OT talent and several like ND a lot so I see no issue. Kevin may turn out to be a great player but he really struggled last year and is in limbo right now as he isn't playing HS football this fall. He definitely has the tools and potential but I think some others guys can be as good if not better. BC should be a great fit for him. Big23Head 2,431 Posted February 12, 2019 Author Share Posted February 12, 2019 So, brief thoughts on this class. It could be smaller than the 2019 class. Right now I would put it at about 20 total. ND is definitely making their first level evals and getting the offers out. Seeing several unranked or lower ranked guys getting offers now (along with the high level guys, don't worry) but they look like really good players. Maybe not quite the Kyle Hamilton level but guys that should definitely increase in rankings and offers moving through summer into fall. I think we will see the same thing as last year and ND will hope to have ~75% of its class done rolling into the fall. Once again, spring OVs will be a big deal and provide a clear picture. I'm excited to see what RB coach Taylor can do on the recruiting trail. ND needs to land very good RB this year. Also extremely excited about him coaching Kyren Williams. Really hoping Alexander Ehrensberger makes it to an Opening Regional. I want to see him test and compete against solid competition. Maybe the German competition is good but I'd like to have some comparison to players over here. As it sits today, I really like NDs position with WR, OL, DL, and S. RB will need to be figured out as Coach Taylor gets on the trail and finds his guys. I think ND can be picky at CB so I'm watching the OVs here.
