I'm really excited about the nickle back from Atlanta too.. Alot of sacks happen because of Nickle backs. Let me set up a scenario for you. Its 3rd and 4 The opponent is driving down to our 25 they call like. Z drag, all hook So basically they want to hit their slot receiver over the middle or their wideouts on hooks or comeback routes Clark Lea is in a gambling mood. field position says blitz, so he's going to press the nickle back up on the slot and tell him inside leverage, meanwhile he's going to activate a linebacker on a blitz. The QB sees blitz so he says if we can beat this nickle back across his face we've got a first down maybe a touchdown, keeps the play on. The nickelback walls off the the slot receiver, the blitz gets home and we get a sack., pushing the other team to 4th and 11 and the fringes of FG range. So I just want to commend you in thinking a nickelback is important, because he is

tneun89 1,026
ND’s PWOs have been getting better and better every year. They’ve been getting a good number of guys with Ivy League offers and even some with Group of 5 offers. Probably won’t see them on Saturdays, but it makes a huge difference over the course of the season having those guys on the scout team and providing key depth.
