calvegas04 0
* Jason Sapp @BGI_JasonSapp Texas three-star CB adds #NotreDame offer to list (VIP) bit.ly/wczDqh via @BGI_WillBiggers Do you think we would do that if we knew Neal was supposed to choose us tomorrow morning? Man, there are way too many tea leaves in this cup. Neal is a WR, that offer was to a CB
mtl_irish03 0
Been well documented that ND has not picked a side of the ball for Devonte. So while I don't believe that offer is at all related, it remains possible he plays cb at notre dame.
D Fence 166
I'm assuming this new offer is to a 2013 kid? Wouldn't this be part of our normal offer process and unrelated to Neal?
hawaiiirish 62
YES--totally unrelated offer--- Neal will play offense--absolutely, despite the talk of unresolved decision by the staff. Every leak & every opinion over the last 8 hours--from ND sites sampson etc---from National sites M farrrel etc--from arizona sites Tuscon citizen etc--- EVERYTHING SAYING NEAL TO ND!!! maybe everyone is wrong---but i think this is looking real good with hours to go! aloha's
D Fence 166
Never mind my previous post - according to II, this might Antwuan Davis from TX who is a 2013 prospect. I would guess this is part of our early offers going out and not related to Neal's announcement.
KellyisNasty 0
Would be such a waste to put him at cb. Dude is a game-changer with the ball in his hands.

I guess that Deon Sanders guy had it all wrong by playing CB. He could have been a game-changer if only he played on offense.
Crab Apple 0
Notre Dame really likes TALL CBs - Neal is short (5'8"). Neal is being recruited for slot.
Domer Dude 0
But if you spell his name backwards you get... laeN etnovaD...which is short for ND... he's all ND... He's a slot unless we need a cb in an emergency... Edited February 21, 2012 by Domer Dude

He may get be our Gilyard that I have been praying for, no offense to anyone currently on the roster.. Not getting my hopes up but I have had this date circled. Personally I'd agree with that but the staff has had every opportunity to tell devonte that same thing an they have maintained that he could still play defense. Sapp has finally weighed in and had said that he feels Arkansas remains the main competition. In typical sapp style. He didnt give anything away but said ND feels it has a good shot. I can't say that I pay attention to Sapp but he seems to have a reputation as one of the better reporters for ND recruiting info. Can anyone comment on his accuracy? Also, is his information mainly from recruits or access to ND insiders?

If Sapp said Arkansas is the main competition, does that mean he is saying that ND is the presumed winner? And Arkansas gets the silver medal? ohioirishfan 0
Wiltfong tweeted that he believes Neal is Irish because he had heard good things, but he does admit his confidence is low in saying that. Fwiw.
