Big time pick up. Was wanted by the best, and wanted to come to ND.

This is a fantastic start to the 2021 class. This kid appears to have all the tools: good size, strong arm, 4.6, smart, etc. Staff is doing awesome with qbs currently.

Welcome to Notre Dame Tyler Buchner!!

Hope lives up to hype from camps etc. He didnt play last year due to injury. There was a QB a few years back that was highly ranked out of IL then fell off the charts and we went after him hard early on.

Good addition but I'm always wary of early commits. Lots of time left but if he's committed to the school, I think he sticks.

I like it! Huge tree trunks for legs. Good arm. This is the type of qb BK needs in his system IMO.

has only thrown 36 high school passes.... Not saying I disagree with it, just something of note.

Only ten games played as an underclassman too, one last year. Stats don't jump out at you but some potential must have been seen to rate him that high.

Maybe a position switch is envisioned. He has decent size and it seems athleticism. It's early, who klnows?

Did you watch him throw a football? Kid has elite skills. He can spin it. More upside than even Phil I think. He ain't switching no position lol

That second video... yes please. That's a HS sophomore legit throwing a better ball than anyone probably currently on the roster. I don't care how many passes he's thrown in high school. That guy has an arm.

I dont think there is a position switch. I think it is more of an importance being placed on camps and QB coaches to get in early

Throw out the stats and even his ranking. Just look at his offers: Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, USC. Those are big time offers for a sophomore QB in high school who has barely played. All of those schools obviously see an immense talent at QB. Good enough for me.

While Buchner certainly has the potential to play other positions in college, his recruitment is at QB and QB only. If he switches positions in college, it is because unforeseen circumstances happen.

Yea, I know this kid has a good arm and good vision, but I have to think how much of his success has to do with his OL and WR's. Just thinking out loud.

His WRs seem to always have a ten-yard cushion around them...
