NDs current working group of recruits are Edwards, Thornton, Colzie, Thomas, Wright, Johnson, and TMA right now. Johnson is the new guy and there is a lot to like. ND is in the best position with Thomas, Colzie, and Johnson right now. TMA is probably next after that.

This year could be a great one for a couple of surprise recruits toward the end. It will be interesting to see if anything happens with early signing day, etc.

I really trust the staff. This is a fun time to follow ND. Thank you for all you do, BIG!

If this kids speed checks out, he is a monster steal. Even without top end he is excellent, so fluid.

How many spots are left?

Seems we are leading for 3 guys....Colzie, Thomas and Johnson. Good position for TMA. What if we get those 4 and some big flips want in? Whats the realistic number

I do not know the number but likely more than we originally thought. Why? With the NCAA granting everyone an extra year of eligibility without counting towards the 85 limit can some of the players perhaps not qualify under this rule and therefore allow extra players to be taken? Thoughts?

Might explain why they offered Theran Johnson.

There are some reports out there that there is a decommit coming (i.e., the recruit told the staff he intends to decommit, and they are trying to prevent that from happening). Supposedly, it's not David Abiarra. Riley would be a candidate since he has never visited campus, but it's all speculation. Hopefully it's not him since he is one of the best pure CBs ND has landed in a while.

would hate to loose riley, barnes looks to be a real good prospect and I saw today that 247 had a couple CB on ceyair wright going to USC.

Default David Abiarra

What is the story with David Abiarra? Is he in the class or not? This might be the longest de-commit process I remember.

It's a weird recruitment for sure. He seemed ready to flip to OU a few months ago, but then he didn't - possibly because OU wasn't ready to take his commitment yet. Then Texas offered, and he had major interest in them. But over the last few months, his most likely landing spot seemed to be SMU. But if you look at his Twitter, he has been very pro-ND lately. When schools sent out formal offers, he retweeted his OU offer, but not his ND offer - very strange. So, this is a major change.

One ND recruiting insider said that there was basically no chance he ends up at ND. ND got Will Schweitzer to seemingly take that spot. But now it looks like he might stick. I really like Abiara - he has great talent and is the type of DL ND needs to land. So, I don't care if he was about to flip or was waivering - if he ends up in ND's class, that's a huge win. And it would be a huge loss if he does end up decommitting.
