Default Lane Kiffin to Ole Miss

I'm sure he will get a rousing reception in Knoxville.

Prettu good hire. Hopefully he can steal some recruits from the big boys and upset a few along the way

Now, letís re-visit the bagman thread three years from now but relate it to Ole Miss.
Kiffin is going to do well there because Ole Miss is desperate and will sacrifice a lot to make it possible.
I feel a bit sorry for his three children, apparently living with his former wife in New York. With all of his coaching changes I doubt he gets to spend much meaningful time with them. Thereís always a human side to the coach, and I donít believe his personal story is particularly good.

Any profession where you are paid millions there is going to be a personal sacrifice.....family time or my job.....I donít feel sorry we all have to make those choices in life

He's a dirtbag, so it's probably best for the kids they seem him as little as possible.

I don’t feel sorry for him. I do feel sorry for his children. They didn’t make the choices, they just have to live with the results of Lane’s choices.
It is certainly possible that he is very involved in their lives. It seems unlikely, given the profession and the distances involved.

Thats not fair. Kids always get caught up in divorce.

He made choices to further his career. Some men do that; especially financially successful ones

It's not his career choices that make him a bad person.

He was cheating on his wife with students. He almost had his own Petrino moment, but was lucky enough it never got public.

I don’t think Ole Miss is a great gig. I would have waited for something better if I were him.

What’s the over/under on how long he lasts? If he’s still there by year 4 or 5 I’d be shocked. This same guy couldn’t win at USC or Tennessee which are much easier to have success at.

If you have lots of money from other gigs and just wanna bang skank, it’s perfect. That said, Lane is a great coach and always has been. He’s just a douche. He’ll win there and do well.

Heís good not great. Ole Miss doesnít have the high expectations of most SEC schools, as long as he goes to bowl games and beats Miss St, heíll be there as long as he wants
