NCAA passed legislation at the annual meeting a month ago that will limit a signing class to 28.

It's about time. Obviously, there were a lot of kids that were never eligible.

NCAA passed legislation a month ago? It's time to level the playing field. Now there's that little thing called enforcement.......

This seems like a relatively easy thing to enforse. You can't sign more than 28 players to a NLI. End of story. If they do then any received after the 28th will be void (most likely the west coasters since you can't sign until 7am local time).

Easy.

How will the SEC teams get by? Only 28? Bama is gonna have to streamline and get a lot better at offering ships. This won't go into effect fast enough..........

problem is hypothetically if a teams signs 28, that still adds up to more than 85 scholarship players...(if they did so each year)

28+28+28+28= 112

112
-85
----
27 players with the potential to be left without a scholarship, which was given to them at the start of their careers.

to make room for the new schollies, teams like bama, lsu, etc, tell the 3rd, 4th string players to "hit the road" and find playing time at smaller colleges.

this is a problem, imo.

You have to remember that some of the 28 will never qualify academically or just plain not show up. So they may take 28, but they will hardly ever have 28 show up.......
